Abstract
This book chapter explores how Hungary, Bulgaria, and Serbia responded to Russia’s post-February 2022 use of the ‘gas weapon’, exercised through four models of influence: ‘compellence’, ‘normative communication’, ‘resource denial’, and ‘political fracture’.
